1. We’re only accepting items from our Amazon Wish List based on daily requests from first responders.

Needs are shifting weekly, so we are updating our Amazon Wish List with the most current and essential items needed for flood victims & volunteer teams. Every purchase ships directly to the church for distribution.

Prefer local shopping? That's great! You can buy similar new items locally (no brand restrictions but items must be new/unopened). Drop off donations at:
Southern Oaks Church

Attn: Donations - Melissa Rago

Our Amazon list is updated daily to reflect current needs. *please note, we are only accepting new/unopened items.

Thank you for your generosity—it’s making a real difference!

2. We are accepting gift cards and monetary donations.

These are incredibly helpful, as they give families the freedom to purchase exactly what they need (specific sizes, brands, or personal items) without requiring storage space.

In the wake of the devastating Kerr County flood, many individuals and families are left picking up the pieces—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We invite churches and organizations to step in and stand in the gap by "adopting" someone impacted for the next 30 days. Whether it's a family or an individual, your church can offer vital support, encouragement, and guidance during this critical rebuilding period.

By adopting a family or person, you become a source of stability and compassion in the midst of crisis. Your church or organization will walk alongside them, helping them regain hope and rebuild their lives—one day at a time.

As an adopting church/organization, you will:
• Commit to walking with an individual or family for the next 30 days.

• Provide consistent prayer, emotional support, encouragement, and spiritual guidance.

• Assist them in creating Amazon Wishlists or online registries for items they need to recover and rebuild.

• Assign a point of contact (POC) from your church to stay in regular communication with them.

• Direct them to Southern Oaks Church for physical supplies (clothing, hygiene items, household basics) as needed.

Disclaimer: Southern Oaks Baptist Church is honored to serve as a facilitator, connecting families in need with churches and organizations offering support. While we take thoughtful measures to verify the information provided by these families, we cannot guarantee its accuracy or completeness. We kindly encourage assisting churches and organizations to conduct their own due diligence before extending any form of assistance.

First Time Guests

What Should I Expect?
If you are visiting for the first time, you can expect a warm, relaxed, friendly atmosphere.  Don't worry - we won't ask you to stand up and introduce yourself, we won't ask you for money, we just want you to feel welcome.  We'll meet for about an hour with live worship music and an inspiring message.

What should I wear?

You'll find everything from casual to business clothes and everything in between. We just want you to come as you are!

What about my child?

During the 10:45 am service we provide childcare in the nursery and Children's Church in The Reef.  Children are also welcomed to sit with their parents.  We also have a cry room available incase your little one gets antsy, where you can still hear the sermon.  We want your child to feel welcome too!
